Hie Guys
I have started this thread with a view to identify youths from Canada who are prepared to host their counterparts especially from Africa within their homes nearer to the Conference Centre. Here in Zimbabwe we have youth who on daily basis volunteer to take foreign youth who wil have visited them to stay with them within their homes instead of booking them in expensive hotels. This will create long lasting relations and links since you will have enough time to discuss before you go to bed. The host youth will also take an opportunity to show around the visiting youth. I am just wondering if we can have such youths in Canada to take host of their peers when they come to Toronto.
I am happy for the support giving to me by the Toronto Youthforce. I am please when I hard that I have been giving scholarship for the pre – conference from the 9th to the 12th August. When I received my acceptance info for the pre conference, I was hurry about accommodation but immediately I talk with Incia and the team, they help me because they know what it means to raise resource from developing country like Sierra Leone, a land once torn into warfare and now youth face most of it circumstances.
I am grateful for this kind of support.
It is always my believe that young people needs to create a bridge of love, care and helpfulness so that the world would development and there will be solution to today’s problems
I have heard so many different opinions and also sotries and i am so pleased to be apart of such a wonderful group of people. I would like to take this opportunity and offer my services to people who wisdh to see a little of Tornto. Unfortunately i will not be permitted to offer anyone aaccomdations, seeing how I will be staying in a hotel. Ploicies forbid of that. If not thenI would. i would like to let youth know that are taking part of the pre-conference that I would love it if we got together and explored a little of toronto and all it has to oofer. It would be my pleasure on taking you guy's to tohse places and to make lasting long relationships. you will love Toronto and it's people.
I look forward to meeting all of you lovely people and having a chance to share intercultural epxperiences that will be part of us for times to come.
